I did that too! Because I was told that each of those little seeds were like.....fairies, and they would hold their wish for you
and when you blew them into the sky, they would watch over you and help your wish come true

That is so much more creative than the reason I did it. My motivation was akin to destroying historical homes for the hope of finding 30 cents.
