"Why do you hate twilight so much? I'm sure people are sick of Harry Potter as well"

And so I explained it to her.

When I was a tweenybopper ((like....11, that's when I started getting into Harry Potter)) I wasn't a brat about it.
I never dressed up as a wizard and pretended to think I was cool.

I think that's difference number one.
Harry Potter kids know that it doesn't matter if they are cool or not, they know that it means something awesome to them, and really the cooleness just stays in the fandom

but I see girls in my town, gluing fangs into theie mouths, and literally like...scolding me for not liking it.

I unno, I know there has to be a Harry Potter fan out there like there some where, but as far as I'm concerned, I never acted like that, I never got defensive and if people didn't like Harry Potter, then they didn't like it. I didn't pull a bitch fest about it.

The amount of credit that Stephanie Meyers gets for writing this series really irritates me.
Of course, the Evil Wizard destroying the world is a well recycled story line, but it really all depends on how you write it, and how in depth you go, and how people relate to it.

When I read the Twilight books.....I found no wow factor at all. IN the long run, I saw some fat old lady wrting about her fantasy's and her tragically romantic veiw about hot vampires that she knows will never happen to her.
The characters are emotionless, and it's really like a big soap opera. And I don't see a point, and a connecting well-going plot that brings all the books together

With Harry Potter, I felt that it could actually exist, and J/K Rowling matured her characters, kept them tied together, and really connected alot of things together. And to me, it was very well written. And that's my UNBIASED opinion. I have read other books that I loved as well as Harry Potter, like Lord of the Rings, Water for Elephants, Freaks! Alive on the Inside, and my first Vampire book I ever read; Look For Me By Moonlight. There are so many books out there that I love to death, other than Harry Potter, but when it comes to Twilight, it seems to be a waste of trees.


Also, the movies.
I know that not all the Harry Potter movies struck gold with fans. They changed things, and the actors, starting off so young, really were in the midst of developing their acting style, and by the time the 6th one came around, the only finally began to get into their niche.

But, even seeing reports today about New Moon, it's just a horrible movie.
Badly written, effects just suck, and people's shirts being thrown off left and right for NO reason.

I have nothing against Rob Patts. His other movie "Remember Me" looks really awesome, annd I loved him in Goblet of Fire.

It's really not the actors fault at all, and actually, it's not even really the screenwriters fault, because they have to stay with the book, and since the books were just terrible

It's a domnino effect.

I know this Journal might piss people off, and quite frankly my Dears, I don't' give a damn

People have their opinions on every movie franchise, and this is my opinion on this one.
